45 year old William David Liddell doesn’t do anything half assed.  The Florida man started by taking off with a U-Haul van that he never returned.  He then smashed into another car in his trailer park, but instead of leaving a note, he fled the scene nearly running over pedestrians.

Naples police saw the van parked at a McDonald’s so they went over to make the arrest. Liddell wasn’t having it though. He punched the cop in the face and tossed his van in reverse. The cop returned the punch but was struck by the door as the van tried to escape backwards out of the lot. Unfortunately for William, the officers had parked behind the van, so he didn’t get very far.

During the scuffle, Mr. Liddell also shit his pants.

Liddell, of the 4500 block of 16th Place Southwest, faces charges of DUI, DUI property damage, driving while license suspended, possessing a canceled driver’s license, leaving the scene of a crash with damage, failure to redeliver leased property more than $300, aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer and two counts of resisting an officer with violence. As of Tuesday, he remained at the Naples Jail Center in lieu of bonds totaling $221,000.
