One Legged Drunk Doesn’t Have To Take Sobriety Test

One of the easiest ways to get out of having to do a road side sobriety test is by not having a leg. The shitty part is that you can still get a DUI.

The very drunk, one legged, John Maier was squealing his truck tires when officer Michael Miloszar eventually pulled up behind him. However, officer Miloszar couldn’t give the man a sobriety test because he had a prosthetic leg, and well, he sort of naturally hobbled anyway.

John Maier, a 32-year-old Nashua, N.H. man, could not be given the roadside test which includes walking in a straight line and balance queries due to his prosthesis, police said.

Mr. Maier then declined to take a breathalyzer, so he had to be taken to the station.  Here he was issued summonses for careless driving, reckless driving, DUI, and refusal to submit.

At the end of the day, John tried to get a leg up on the cops by refusing the sobriety test.  Sadly, he came up a foot short.
