In Maine, women are allowed to go topless. But some women in Farmington decided to organize a topless march for equality anyway. They want women to not be gawked at if they decide to go topless. Yeah, okay.
That’s right, a couple dozen bare-chested women marched through the town — because they don’t think topless women should draw attention. Make sense? Of course not, but hey, boobs.
Their little stunt could prove to be very counterproductive. First of all, they most certainly did draw attention, and not all of it from supporters. See, the “ladies” who participated in the march were perhaps not the type of women that you really wish would go topless. And because they did this, some towns in Maine may consider ordinances requiring everyone to put their shirts back on.
