I know it seems like a waste of taxpayer money for some people, but what if the medication he overdosed on interfered with the lethal injection, causing him not to die, or to die in a cruel or unusual way? The state is just trying to cover it’s bases.

I’m sorry, but we need to stop wasting tax payer money, if someone is to be executed, who gives a crap if they aren’t in perfect health? The man killed his mother, strangled the life out of her, for beer money, he doesn’t deserve mercy.

Why did this guy even get the death penalty in the first place? I thought the death penalty was supposed to be a last resort for when there is absolutely no chance of rehabilitation? Granted, what he did was horrible and he deserves a decent 20-25 years or so in jail for it – but surely this is the sort of circumstance where rehabilitation into society would be eventually possible?
