Anheuser Busch has been getting us wasted since the late 1800′s. This shouldn’t be a total shocker considering what they got away with when it came time to print. Even though the Malt Nutrine only contained 1.9% alcohol, it’s still a stretch to target nursing mothers and children.
Be awesome at outdoor sports.

Some beers are galactagogues. That is, they increase milk production. We’re just so scared of alcohol these days that it’s not much talked about. Guinness is the only modern beer I know for sure does this, but I have been told that others of the same type do as well. Less-adventuresome nursing moms must settle for supplementing with brewer’s yeast.
Can’t answer for giving it to kids, though. I have indeed been tempted to get my kids drunk, but with my luck they’d be aggressive drunks.

Beer is actually very healthy in pretty much every way, unless you’re drinking watered down piss like Miller, or drinking too much.
This country just has a puritanical fear of anything vaguely “sinful” like alcohol or rich foods.
