And your problem with reproductive rights is that a man can’t force a woman to carry a child that she doesn’t want for nearly a year of her life, limiting her activities, enduring pain and possibly ridicule all so that this guy can become the single parent of a child whose mother didn’t want to have it? Yeah, I *totally* see your point. And I’m sure that if it was the man’s body on the line, if it were men who got pregnant, you’d still have the same opinion.
MK2, you have something of a point on the prostate/breast cancer thing. It is unfortunate that funding and campaigning is so unbalanced. However, this is a political move; we are no closer to finding cures to any of these diseases than giant pharmaceutical companies want us to be.
In conclusion, I do have my facts straight, and do my best not to misrepresent them. I have done my research and tried to keep my emotions out of the issue. Saul, I’ll give you the same advice I gave M2K: any statement that uses the phrase “all women” “you women” or refers to women with the impersonal “You” is sexist. Replace them with “You blacks” or “all blacks” and you’ll see what I mean. Also, “bitches” is as bad as “niggers”.
I don’t think you’re afraid of women taking control and you losing all your rights, I think you’re an insecure person who doesn’t know how to deal with the pain of previous bad relationships and experiences. Some women have hurt you, therefore you generalize to hold negative views of all women. It sucks that women can be so mean, but remember that so can men. There are good people out there on both sides, but if you refuse to believe so, you will never find them. Remember: you earn your partners, they are only as good as what you are willing to work for.
