Evans knows how to win. He has good stand up skill, wrestling, and movement. He is a good champion and a hard one to beat.

I like the taunt in the second round by Evans @ 1:24
Evans no doubt had the match and was just quick and clean with his strikes and was even more amazing on his blocks, blocking quickly and precisely. I have yet to figure out how he could see so many telegraphed moves from Griffen. an amazing fight and I think my favorite from 2008

Forrest came out a little short. I thought he had this. Congrats to Evans. He needs to work on his stand up though, not a good idea what he was doing.

Anderson Silva v.s. Rashad Evans? not only would that be a waste of time for Silva but he would have to go down a weight class? These 2 fighters are my favorite of all time don’t get me wrong. (1) Silva (2) Rashad but seriously Anderson Silva shouldn’t even be being mentioned in the same sentence as Rashad Evans.

Forest was doing great and had the first two rounds my opinion. Evans is a great athlete, I personally cant stand him but theres no doubt hes a dangerous competitor. I do look forward to his winning streak to end in a brutal beat down, cause yes, Im a hater F Rashad!

i like forest he’s a great fighter and a very respectful man, but come on lets show some respect for rashad he has earned it, i’ m afraid that the ugly face of racism is also showing up in the ufc audience’ black is beautiful and so is white.may the best man win.

Unhinged got it perfectly correct. Rashad has amazing skill in blocking during close quarter combat. I rarely see fighters, outside of Kung Fu movies, block with such expertise. His taunt in the 2nd round was just a clear indication that he was not going to fold. He came to fight and he saw early that he would win just as he saw Griffin’s kicks coming from a mile away. Both are great fighters, for real.

Rashad Evans definitely deserved the fight, he came in with a winners mentality and won with a clean take down. Still have to give it to Forrest, hes number one im my books. Greatest sportsmanship shown by Forrest and he gave a fantastic fight for his money.

Rashad Evans is quite simply the smartest fighter out there by a long way. Who else can assess a fight as it is in progress, work out the style of the opponent and then create and implement the game plan to win. The Ground and pound was lethal. Hammer fist elbows leverage and execution all perfect.

Griffin is a great fighter but he was out classed simple as that. Evans can punch kick G and P takedown wrestle the lot all I am waiting for is a submission. All you need to know is that Rampage is reluctant to fight him.

Look at the liddel fight he said I had to beat him at his own game which meant turn the great counter puncher into the aggressor. He did this and took him out. He will take rampage to the ground and it will be griffin all over again.

For those who dont like Evans they need to ask themselves why because it cannot be because he is a bad fighter thats for sure. I wonder what it could be!!

Well…I guess your going to say it is because he is black..? am I right..? In some cases that may be true, I’m not saying it isn’t. But I don’t particularly like him, not for that reason, its because of the way he is, his attitude if you like. He won fair and square and good on him for it, but I was backing Forrest. He is a really nice guy, very likeable, that is why most people like him I imagine, not because he is white.

P.S – If I was wrong about what you were going to say, then I apologise..But there are definite racism accusations in the posts above, I’m just saying, not all Forrest fans are racist, I happen to also be a huge Rampage fan. peace ^_^

I think that it came down to Rashad’s defence. Probably as the the fight progressed Forrest’s kicks slowed down a fraction of a second and that was when Rashad caught his leg. I’ve been counting Rashad out since TUF and every time this guy manages to get the W. He is a great fighter and I would love to see how he reacts to a guy like Rampage, who has the wrestling and the punching power to make it an interesting fight. I personally don’t like the guy but I like to see him fight because he always puts on a great show!
