I believe that’s Doug Stanhope who’s talking. He’s a stand up comedian and should be seen by anyone who digs that ranting type of act. Brilliant.

You must be on DMT since they even said it’s Joe Rogan during the talk and mentioned Doug at some point, but he wasn’t there.
Wow, Joe borrowed pretty heavily from Terence McKenna here. He lifts practically whole sentences from Terence’s description of a DMT trip that he gives on Space Time Continuum’s album “Alien Dreamtime”.

this is good to ehar, but is recycled terrence mckenna lectures from the examples to ideas and thoughts…. please credit him better so people perhaps can read and understand some of his more developed thoughts

I’m glad he is putting McKenna’s ideas out there. Thing is, people in popular culture know Joe Rogan. Few in popular culture know Terrance McKenna. This isn’t academia. So !@$# it…what’s important to me, and hopefully Terrance, is that the ideas get out there. Go Joe!!
The frat-boy-esque radio jock atmosphere provides an… interesting contrast to the subject matter. His comments are interesting but maybe a bit over-hyped. The ideas need to get out there but I hope nobody says “dude, Joe did it, let’s get some and get wasted!” I think public expositions on psychedelic use should always encourage careful, intelligent use of the substances. Peace.

You’ve got to be a troll. And you’ve definitely never tried DMT. You don’t get “high”. You’re in another world. And I know people like to throw the phrase “in another world” around, but take the very most literal translation.
